You could be right on urmphi, but I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and I know that some people have been manipulated if not him

DiscordMiG-21bisThe opinions of a months long investigation holds more infinitely weight than the opinions of individual players who "Just know he wouldn't cheat." Their arguments are irrelevant. People don't know their friends as well as they think they do. Eli is no exception. ANYONE can be a cheater, no matter how hardworking or smart they are.You could substitute everything in the document with mxr and it would look exactly the same. I remember asking a bunch of people if they thought mxr cheated and they didn't think so and he put in a lot of time into the game as well.

I honestly feel like Young Sanity and urmphi are being manipulated and would rather believe that the anti-cheat team is incorrect than believe that they were betrayed by people they admired and believed they were friends with.

Im young mf sanity. I am my own self no one maniuplates me except my own self.

The top of the document I state that we shouldn't blindly follow RGL anti cheat bans because we get no evidence or even an idea of what kind of cheats they suspect someone of using. No matter who was banned evidence should be shown. You simply couldn't substituting everything in the document with Mxr without it being false. My personal testimonial talks about me knowing Eli for years and playing every season of comp with him however we met Mxr recently (little bit before s4 so like around 09/01/2020)
The other peoples testimonials would also be completely different shown by mustardoverlord's opinion saying "mxr was obviously a cheater and elijah prolly wasnt"

I couldn't care less about mxr.

Also I'm not sure why I'm getting paired with youngman lmao
(edit): Ive been eli's friend for a long time while young man is just stating his opinion on this thread

all it takes to convince every1 he cheats is showing a clip of him cheating. unlike for freakshow i havent seen anything thatd raise an eyebrow, so until i do it'll stay where it is. theres plenty of content as is that goes over cheater povs so the idea that hiding evidence is good so that cheaters wont learn from it is retarded. i will never blindly trust rgl in anything, ever. this situations no different.

Can't support something like this. Your bibliography doesn't have hanging indents, meaning it wouldn't survive even the first round of peer review in a scholarly journal.

I think the main issue for me is that it looks like Eli got banned off a UGC mirror, and that the UGC ban was made without a strong investigation or appeal from Eli. I could be wrong about that, but the timing of how everything happened (Eli getting UGC banned like a day before the RGL ban) makes me want to know if RGL has solid proof or they're just following another league (which has had a history of questionable bans in the past).

That said, I have very little personal experience with Eli besides a few pugs, so I don't have much opinion on whether he's cheating or not. If evidence was sent to RGL admins and they reviewed it and conclusively decided he was cheating, I'm fine with the ban. I'd personally just like a statement from RGL on what grounds they made their decision on (gameplay review, UGC mirror ban, etc.), not necessarily the specifics (e.g. evidence of wallhacking from a demo).

I don't think RGL actually mirrored the ban, but UGC has a history of banning then sharing the evidence with other anticheat teams. It's likely RGL was already investigating, but UGC did it faster/started earlier, then the additional evidence the UGC anticheat team had was enough to solidify the RGL AC team's evidence.

Brother you and mxr are in logs together almost every day since (07/28/2020) WHEN WILL THE LIES FROM THIS GROUP CEASE

side note idk why you think "random bystander opinion" and "random bystander opinion that knew the dude longer" has any influence on the relevance of your opinion. All it means is that if he has cheated ever and hasn't told you that, you look real fuckin silly rn.

In the document urmphi states that UGC only asked elijah for demos after he receives the ban from them and not before, I find it hard to believe that they did it faster without even having any POV demos from eli himself.

alfaWhy would RGL release "proof" when the excuses flowchart kicks in response every time:

1. It was lag
2. Lucky shot
3. I MGE all day
4. But can you prove I was cheating in that clip
5. People can vouch for me (???)
6. I improved (lol)

#1 would have been the old excuse used years ago that "He didn't cheat at LAN so he's legit" but COVID took care of that one for us.

Eli submits hundreds of demos, he streams with a three-way split between his game capture, a webcam capture of his monitor, and a capture of his keyboard inputs and then ends the streams by slowly scrolling over the list of all programs executed while he was playing TF2.

The storekeeper has emptied his pockets and stripped him naked with no evidence of shoplifting but is still calling him a thief. I'm not sure how much more evidence he has to submit to make RGL mods happy.
